Capoeira is an expression of freedom, and for many, the art of survival. It is a path to connecting with the true roots of Afro-Brazilian culture.

Grupo Cafu Capoeira Association is based in Houston, Texas, where we promote capoeira by keeping true to the roots of the art and build a camaraderie its group members cherish.

With its signature style, Grupo Cafu has been alive for many years, gaining strength and recognition for its role in preserving Afro-Brazilian culture and promoting a healthy lifestyle for at-risk youth. It is a pioneer in spreading the positive influence of capoeira, with training groups in Hawaii and Houston.
